Este trabalho responde à questão de investigação sobre em que medida a alimentação de crianças com e sem prática regular de desporto recreativo na 4.ª classe da escola primária difere e quais as diferenças existentes entre a cidade e o campo. O objetivo é descobrir se existe uma relação entre os hábitos alimentares e de atividade física dos alunos entrevistados. A origem das crianças também desempenha um papel central. Existe uma relação marcante entre classe social baixa, baixo nível de escolaridade, má alimentação e falta de atividade física.
