Das akute Koronarsyndrom (ACS) ist eine der Haupttodesursachen in der Welt, auch in Portugal, und stellt daher ein vorrangiges Interventionsgebiet dar. Ziel dieser Studie war es, die mit dem ACS verbundenen Risikofaktoren bei Patienten, die in die Notaufnahme einer ULS im Norden Portugals eingeliefert wurden, zu charakterisieren. Die Stichprobe bestand aus 40 Patienten mit ACS, die in die Notaufnahme einer ULS im Norden Portugals eingeliefert wurden. Das Durchschnittsalter für das Auftreten von ACS betrug 74,40 Jahre, und es war häufiger bei Männern anzutreffen. Bei den Risikofaktoren war Bluthochdruck der häufigste und Rauchen der am wenigsten verbreitete Faktor. Was die spezifische persönliche Vorgeschichte betrifft, so war die Herzinsuffizienz am häufigsten und der Schlaganfall am wenigsten verbreitet.
