This annual report reviews agricultural policies in 54 countries, including the 38 OECD Member countries, five non‑OECD EU Member States, and 11 emerging economies. It finds that overall support to agriculture in 2022-24 remains well above pre-COVID levels. While nominal transfers to farmers have increased, expenditures benefitting consumers have declined. Support for innovation and other services is falling relative to the sector’s size, which, together with persistent trade distortions, threatens global food security.
