There, he mastered authentic Quanzhen meditative techniques. Upon returning to Germany, Wilhelm translated The Secret of the Golden Flower into German, with pioneering psychologist Carl Jung contributing a seminal preface. This edition became an international bestseller, subsequently translated into English, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and other languages.
