The adventures of Marmardor & Ellen book contains three seperate stories following the adventures of two small sisters from the fictional village of Pentacon in Snowdonia North Wales. John Cooke the author used to tell his grand children fictional stories to keep them amused his wife suggested tha he should write a childrens book, it was then he wrote the marmardor and ellen book. The book proved to be a great success with his grandchildre and their fnends, so it was decided that he should have the book published for other children to enjoy.
