Makie, the Dog, is an adventure-packed story, rich in the illustrative depiction of whatever Makie experiences as he embarks on this adventure. The story begins when Makie, a chihuahua, lives in a beautiful house with a yard and a lake with his owner Mika. Makie is loved and cared for, and Mika’s friends adore him a lot too. Then, one fine day, Makie spots a duck in his backyard, he tries to be a friend with it but to no avail - Winky, the duck, doesn’t give him the attention he was so adapted to. That’s when Makie decides to run after Winky and see if they could be friends. The adventure begins then!Makie runs through different terrains to get a word with Winky, but to no use. Hours of following Winky leads Makie far away from home. Finally, as the sunsets, Makie realizes his mistake. He looks around, it becomes dark, and he can’t make out the way back home. That’s when Makie embarks on a daring journey - doing things he hasn’t done in his life. He jumps into a lake, putting to test his swimming skills, facing the danger of starving and loss of energy - he recognizes that the comfort of his home is a blessing. Fast forward, he is fed with an egg by the ducks and regains his power to take another swim down the lake. As the sunrises, Makie decides to take another chance at finding a home; with more energy, he swims faster, and in a few hours, he can finally smell the familiar scent and scenery of home.End - Makie is welcomed home by a relieved Mika and friends. He gives a woof of happiness and is woken from an adventurous dream.Sometimes a dream is enough for you to know the importance of home and family.
