Adventures in Earth and Environmental Science is a series of books covering years 11 & 12 in high school and first year university. There are Books 1 &2 for years 11 and 12 with accompanying practical manuals, one per year. These are all tied together with the Teachers’ Manual. The whole series exactly ties in with the Australian syllabus and the 2019 Queensland syllabus including all the required work and more background detail and research for enrichment. The teachers’ guide directs the new or experienced teacher in set up, orientation, lesson planning, permission notes, organisation of excursions and background information. All the answers to the questions in the text books and suggestions on the research questions are included in each chapter. Set up and warnings for all the practical work as well as links on where to obtain the equipment cheaply. There are links to hundreds of useful websites and relevant videos taken by the author covering skills, excursions and exploration. It is an invaluable tool for any teacher of this subject, more so if they are using the rest of the series.
