呈现在读者眼前的这本文集,是近七、八年来我在国内外媒体上用中文发表的关于一些世界的重大事件、演变趋势的时评、采访及讲座的整理文稿。这里先请读者朋友注意的是文章写作及发表日期--绝大多数都是事件发生的次日甚至是事件还在进行时写就并被立刻发表的。如果读者觉得文章有预见性,分析得有道理,看法有启发,当初写作的辛苦也就没有白白付出,此次由朋友建议来做这个结集出版也就有那么点意义;而后来事态的演变如与文章的分析预测有差距的话,也请读者理解:毕竟,那是一种'热'评,或许还缺乏冷分析却所需的必要的时间与心理上的距离。不过,匆匆整理这些文字,几年过去回看,还是觉得大部分预测与分析都还是站得住脚的,才有这点勇气将文章再晒出,拿来结集,同时也想给自己和历史留个证。我一向的看法是:历史是一个涌动前行的河川,常常深藏些潜流,而事件就是曝露展现这潜流的浪峰。许多事件突然浮现,事出意外,其实并不全归偶然。所谓'风起于青萍之末,三尺之冰非一日之寒'是也。不过,事件的产生、过程及后果也永远具有偶发性,理性的概括终难全然预见。而一旦事件发生,会产生某种路径依赖效应,左右潮流的走向,影响久远。这个文集中涉及到的许多当代的事件当也可如此视之。正如麦哲伦的全球探险,路德的改革之议,显然都是有其历史的逻辑,也都有其事件的偶然。至于如何解读事件的意涵,不同的观察者有不同的视角。就本人讲,作为时代的参与者、见证者,多年来对世界与中国的研究、思考都是围绕现代性问题展开,换句通俗的话讲,就是现代文明的形式与本质的问题。也是顺着这样一种思路,从一种现代性的角度去观察,解读造成事件下那种累积的潜流的性质及方向,事件本身的意涵及对当下和未来可能的影响;这大体是这些文章背后的主题;写下的文章不希望局限于就事论事,试图给出一个历史的幅度,思考的纵深。至于是否达到目标,就请读者自行判断了。张伦,法国CY 赛尔奇--巴黎大学教授,Agora 研究所研究员,法国'人文社会科学之家'(FMSH)兼任研究员,'中国现代性与转型' 研究项目网络负责人,曾任该机构下属'全球研究院教授'(现该单位裁撤),法国国家发展署(AFD)学术委员会委员,中文思想学术网站'中国:历史与未来'主编,法国'人文社会科学之家出版社'(Éditions de la MSH) 即将出版的'亚洲丛书'主编。为BBC、FT(金融时报)、DW(德国之声)等多家国际媒体中文评论撰稿人,其外文的评论、采访散见于'世界报''解放报''纽约时报''朝日新闻''读卖新闻'等国际报刊。为多家国际媒体经常性邀约的时政评论员。学术研究方向为中国的现代性、制度与文化转型、东亚地缘政治、中欧关系、可持续发展等问题。有法文、中文的著作、文章多种。
