La struttura demografica delle società industriali moderne come quella tedesca è soggetta a continui cambiamenti. Le persone vivono più a lungo e la loro percentuale sulla popolazione è in crescita. L’aumento dell’aspettativa di vita comporta anche un aumento dei disturbi fisici e psicosociali. Per quanto riguarda l’interazione uomo-tecnologia, le conseguenze dell’aumento dell’aspettativa di vita e delle spesso limitate possibilità di assistenza da parte di personale specializzato o della famiglia richiedono soluzioni innovative. I robot di telepresenza, in quanto innovazione in questo contesto specifico, possono contribuire a preservare l’autodeterminazione, la mobilità e la partecipazione sociale delle persone anziane. Il presente lavoro intende fare il punto della situazione sull’atteggiamento degli anziani nei confronti di questa possibilità tecnologica, illustrandolo concretamente sulla base dell’accettazione e della valutazione delle interazioni sociali durante l’utilizzo di un robot di telepresenza.
