Accelerate Your Impact: 10 Ways to Fuel Your Nonprofit's Fundraising Engine has been crafted by experienced fundraising professionals for non-profit leaders to give them a look into the future of fundraising leadership. General Editor Trent Ricker and chapter contributors Gary Cole, Allison Lewis Lodhi, Tony Smercina, and Curt Swindoll explore the ins and outs of current best practices in fundraising. Included in its pages are practical ways to develop and sustain relationships with constituents, increase mid-level donors and avoid the 'giving sombrero,' and techniques to create dynamic and achievable aspirations for organizations by dissecting and examining the speeches of two of America's most beloved visionaries. This valuable resource also provides useful tools such as a fundraising strategy calendar, metrics for ensuring data-driven decision-making, organizational charts, and references for further reading. Accelerate Your Impact is a unique treasury of knowledge and experience in nonprofit fundraising designed to help an organization overcome the new challenges of today's fundraising landscape and accelerate its impact to change the world. This book should be on the shelves of every nonprofit leader and passionate professional as a go-to resource for breaking the cycle of organizational tunnel vision, operational silos, and stale campaign strategies. Trent Ricker is CEO of Pursuant, a full-service fundraising agency in Dallas, TX. Trent leads Pursuant with over 20 years of senior management and consulting experience, with a heavy emphasis in the nonprofit sector and emerging fundraising technology. Trent joined Pursuant after spending over four years with Convio, a leading software provider to the nonprofit market. As vice president of account services, he led the consultative approach to serving all 1200+ nonprofit clients across Convio's platform. Prior to that role, Trent helped create and build Convio's fundraising consultancy and served as the principal consultant on projects serving some of the largest nonprofit organizations in the world, including the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Feeding America, Anti-Defamation League, and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Ben Stroup is senior vice president for fundraising communications at Pursuant. He lives at the intersection of marketing, technology, communications, and fundraising. As a self-professed content activist and digital explorer, Ben has dedicated more than a decade of his professional life to developing fully integrated, sustainable publishing models that drive leads, donors, revenue, and engagement. Ben writes and speaks about technology, fundraising, leadership, communications, and marketing. He has written and edited more than 30 books and e-books, including numerous collaborations with key leaders and organizations. Three of his latest book projects include Unconditional Love (B&H Publishing Group), Hope in Front of Me (with former American Idol finalist Danny Gokey, NavPress), and Awaken The Outlaw (Abingdon Press). 3
