'《七绝四百首》分为上下两册，该诗集有以下几个特点：一是格律严格工整；二是意境优美情趣高雅；三是无论记事还是咏物，诗歌流露的感情真挚；四是语言运用畅达而工巧，传达出了较高的文化价值。内容简介《七绝四百首》入选的诗歌是作者邓碧泉创作的七言绝句，总计400首。这本诗集按格律分有唐七言绝句300首，雷歌100首。按内容分为十五个篇章，唐七绝不仅格律严谨，咏物怀古意境优美，字句瑰丽，感情真挚。值得一提的是，作者将雷州歌与七言绝句嫁接，创造了'雷七绝'的新颖诗歌样式，吟咏雷州文明发展历程，反映百姓生活习俗，这些诗歌在报刊发表后，引起了当地读者的强烈反响。本次选入的这100首雷歌表达了诗人对家乡本土文化的热爱、敬仰和期待。作者简介邓碧泉，笔名若水。广东文化名人，诗人、作家、书法家。一九五五年出生于广东雷州的一个农民家庭，务过农，当过兵，扛过枪，教过书。曾任湛江市体制改革办公室副主任，湛江市东海岛经济开发试验区副主任兼公安分局局长，中共吴川市委副书记，湛江市科技委员会主任、党组书记，中共赤坎区委书记，中共湛江市委常委、宣传部部长，湛江市政协主席，湛江书画院首任院长，现为擎雷书院总策划。曾为广东海洋大学、岭南师范学院特聘教授。著有《领导干部学思行》《内生文化论》《人本文化》《陈宾诗文集》《若水斋诗抄》《若水斋诗词系列》（五册）《若水斋赋》《若水斋诗书赋》（四册）《长征百赋》《天南百赋》《邓碧泉书法集》。
