O presente estudo foi realizado para obter informações sobre a autoestima, o apego aos pais e aos colegas de adolescentes abusadores e não abusadores. Os objetivos do estudo foram (i) estudar o perfil sociodemográfico dos abusadores, (ii) estudar o perfil clínico dos abusadores, (iii) examinar as diferenças entre o apego e a autoestima de adolescentes abusadores e não abusadores, (iv) estudar as diferenças de género no apego e na autoestima de adolescentes abusadores, (v) realizar um estudo de caso sobre abusadores. As conclusões revelaram que os não abusadores tinham maior autoestima e melhor apego com os pais e colegas em comparação com os abusadores. Não foram encontradas diferenças de género no apego dos abusadores.
