Les composites polymères renforcés de fibres naturelles (NFRPC) gagnent en popularité en raison de leur respect de l’environnement et de leurs propriétés mécaniques supérieures. Cependant, l’absorption d’eau (WA) reste un défi important, entraînant une réduction de la résistance et de la durabilité. Cette étude examine en détail les caractéristiques de WA dans les NFRPC, en examinant ses effets sur la résistance à la traction, à la flexion et aux chocs. Divers traitements de surface, notamment l’alcali, le silane et l’acétylation, ont été explorés pour renforcer l’hydrophobie et améliorer la liaison fibre-matrice. De plus, l’intégration de nanoparticules (NAP) est évaluée pour son potentiel à minimiser l’absorption d’eau et à renforcer les propriétés mécaniques. Les résultats fournissent des informations précieuses sur le développement de NFRPC haute performance pour des applications structurelles.
