Abraham walks into our lives from the pages of a very ancient manuscript. One of the most fascinating stories of a person from the Bible, Abraham was a real person with real hopes and desires. We walk beside Abraham from Ur, a sophisticated, cosmopolitan city, to the 'Promised Land'. As father of our faith, Abraham’s life inspires us to reach for new heights in our own daily walk with God. As Abraham’s life unfolds on these pages, we see in a deeper and fuller way, what it means to trust God with all our heart. Abraham was very richly blessed (fantastically) and we find out how his life continues to bless us to this day. God made promises to Abraham, forever promises, and some of those promises, amazingly include us. In a very readable style J. Darline Peipman has brought us a new and broader understanding of Abraham and his life from thousands of years ago. This book is a must read!hrough much painstaking research, J. Darline Peipman has expanded our understanding of the Hebrew text and the life and times of Abraham. From infancy, in church with her parents on Sunday morning and evening and Wednesday evening prayer meetings, J. Darline Peipman sat quietly and listened, trying to follow the preaching of the Word before she could read. She gave her life to the Lord at the age of four. She taught public school for a few years after graduating from university with a degree in English. With her husband, she became a missionary in the South Pacific. Her husband is now a pastor of a local church near where they live on Long Island, New York.
