Cette étude examine le rôle que joue le logement dans l’établissement de cette communauté en Australie. Il existe un nombre limité mais croissant d’ouvrages traitant des problèmes sociaux rencontrés par les migrants humanitaires en Australie. Le chercheur est un membre de la communauté soudanaise d’Australie-Méridionale qui est arrivé en Australie en tant que réfugié avec un visa humanitaire. Il a travaillé dans le domaine de la migration et des services communautaires avant de retourner à l’université.
