Były czasy, kiedy Etiopia osiągnęła szczyt swojej świetności, ale były też czasy, kiedy znalazła się na dnie. Jedną z największych trosk dzisiejszej Etiopii jest modernizacja edukacji. Edukacja staje się autentyczna i znacząca dla zrównoważonego rozwoju tylko wtedy, gdy rozwija koncepcje i metody naukowe, które wyjaśniają kulturowe aspekty sytuacji życiowych. Nowe etiopskie tysiąclecie, które rozpoczęło się 12 września 2007 r., daje mieszkańcom Etiopii wielką nadzieję na ożywienie i dążenie do nowych wyżyn. W tej książce autorzy pokazują naukowe sposoby i środki identyfikacji i integracji starożytnych skarbów Abisynii w programie nauczania szkolnictwa wyższego na rzecz zrównoważonego rozwoju Etiopii.
