Ông Lê Tùng Minh thì viết báo phê bình tôi 'phạm lỗi nặng nề' nói Điện Biên Phủ ở trên đất Lào mà thật sự chỉ ở gần biên giới Lào. Riêng cựu Trung Tướng Nguyễn Chánh Thi cung cấp nhiều tài liệu có liên quan đến sự cố đảo chánh ông Diệm. Ông còn cho tôi địa chỉ và số điện thoại của nhiều người có nhắc đến tên trong Hồi Ký này như bà Ngô Đình Nhu, ông Hồ sĩ Khuê, v.v. Ngoài ra, ông còn nhiệt tình cổ võ việc tái bản. Ngoài vài sửa chữa cần thiết nói trên, ấn bản duyệt lại này không bớt một dữ kiện quan trọng nào đã in trong nguyên bản. Chỉ có thêm nhiều chi tiết, hình ảnh và một Phân Đoạn mới vừa viết gần đây với tiêu đề 'Đoạn Cuối Đời Một Phóng Viên'.
