八段锦是我国非常优秀的古传养生功,据传,出自'八仙'中的钟离权（即道教传说中八仙之一的'汉钟离'。钟离权,姓钟离,名权,全真道尊他为'正阳祖师'）。文化身份的建构受到相应的时代语境、主体文化身份期待和建构原则的制约，该书的第一章将其概括为文化身份建构的预置性因素，由时代背景入手，将奥运在中国的文化传播历程与近现代以来中华民族对文化身份的追寻相联系，阐述奥运传播与当代中国文化身份建构问题相互'嵌入'的现实语境。在此基础上，对文化身份建构的主体性进行分析，指出文化身份中存在集体与个体两个层面的双重主体，并将主体对文化身份的期待视野分为自我期待、发展期待和交往期待三个方面。进而以文化身份主体的双重性为主线，论述文化身份建构的两大原则，即在身份认知中遵循他者逻辑并依赖于主体的媒介使用。
