书房,是世界上最有文化的地方,书房文化,是飘逸着芬芳的文化,是醉人心田的文化,也是最时尚最温馨的文化。研究书房文化,是一件浸淫国学、感受传统的事情,也是一件有益于陶冶书香、修性养心的事情。《中华书房文化》是一本融知识、学术、资料、收藏和图片于一体的作品。《中华书房文化》曾在新世纪初出过简易本《书斋文化》,此次是修订本,容量增加了一倍多。主要是重写了《书房的起源》、《历代书房文化的特征》、《书房的设计和装饰》等部分,增加了《前言》、《文房收藏》、《国外书房》、《书房探秘》等章节。本书共分十章,八十余节,另配照片200余张。全书采用书房畅想那样随笔之法,各篇章在成书之前,大多在全国各地的报刊上发表过,当然限于篇幅,大多文章当时有所删节。编辑反馈,此类文章知识性强、趣味性浓,较受读者欢迎。这次承蒙美国南方出版社青睐,在海外推出本书,在全书编排、前后贯通、内容衔接等方面又做了较大幅度的调整和增删。
