A maior injustiça que o negro sofreu não foi a escravatura, porque muitas outras raças, incluindo os nossos irmãos brancos, sofreram o mesmo destino, pelo que todas as raças e todos os povos à face da terra, num momento ou noutro da sua história, experimentaram a escravatura, coletivamente como povo, ou individualmente como vítimas do antigo comércio de venda de seres humanos. Como homem negro, sinto empatia com as dores, os sofrimentos e as aflições dos meus antepassados, e é por isso que, durante muitos anos, fiz campanha contra a ideia do pagamento de indemnizações, porque sei que cobrar dinheiro equivale a vender o futuro de pequenas crianças negras em todo o mundo. A maior injustiça cometida contra o homem negro é o apagamento da sua identidade na Antiguidade e o hipnotismo geracional sistemático exercido sobre a sua descendência, de modo a fazê-los acreditar que são inferiores aos seus pares de outras raças. Moisés casou com uma mulher negra, o rei Salomão casou com uma mulher negra, José casou com uma negra, estes factos estão escritos em todas as Bíblias do mundo. Então porque é que o negro enfrenta hoje o racismo e o abuso racial? É porque uma mentira perdurou durante demasiado tempo e os erros persistiram durante demasiadas gerações.
