Since the beginning of time, Birds have played a subtle yet veryimportant role in our lives. Not only do many of them feed andnourish us, we often keep them in our homes to sing for us and toprovide us with inner joy and happiness.Just think for a moment how empty the world would be withoutthe welcome presence and beautiful songs of Birds. I wrote this bookin Honor of our Fine Feathered Friends for their loving and unselfi shgiving to man.Unfortunately, to date more than 56,000 species of Birds have alreadybecome extinct due to natural disasters such as: Drought, Famine,Disease and Wildfi res and from more recent times due to the overabundantand widely unnecessary use of Deforestation, Urbanizationand Deadly Pesticides. From each sale of this book a signifi cant donation will be made tothe Ardastra Gardens, Zoo and Conservation Center located inNassau, Bahamas. Ardastra is a non-profi t organization where the welltrainedand compassionate staff dedicate valuable time and expertisepromoting Conservation and the development of the necessaryprograms to ensure the survival of many endangered species of theWorld’s vanishing Natural Habitat’s.
