A Starship Named Lucy

In the vast emptiness of space, a sentient starship, once the pride of the now-extinct Polovian Empire, drifts alone for eons-until it encounters an object of profound significance: the Voyager probe from Earth. Intrigued by the species that would send such an invitation into the unknown, the ship sets a course for the planet called Earth. On Earth, a group of orphans living at Covington Children’s Home, including the adventurous Bryan Landry and his friends, stumble upon an invisible spacecraft in a nearby field. Drawn by their curiosity, they enter the mysterious vessel, which transports them into orbit. There, they meet the ship’s avatar-an exact replica of the beloved child genius Lucy Stafford from the popular TV show StarQuest. The ship, longing for purpose and companionship, offers the children a chance to become its crew.As they accept their roles-Bryan as captain, Ariana as helmsman, Tommy as chief engineer, and Lizbet as communications officer-the newly named Starship Lucy embarks on a journey beyond Earth. Their adventure takes a dramatic turn when they receive a distress call from a Dynaric freighter under attack. Facing a powerful enemy, Bryan and his crew must quickly adapt to their newfound roles to save the lone survivor-a young alien girl-while evading the pursuit of Earth’s military forces, who are desperate to uncover the truth behind their disappearance.Blending elements of space opera, adventure, and found family, A Starship Named Lucy is a thrilling tale of exploration, friendship, and the boundless possibilities of the universe.
