Buttons the snowboy convinces his mother to let him wear his new Christmas outfit when he goes sledding on Christmas Eve. Buttons struggles to keep on his royal blue top hat, light blue scarf, and silver mittens as he takes his rides down the hill. He decides his clothes would be much safer under a large pine tree at the bottom of the hill. When he goes back to the tree, he discovers that all his new clothes that his Grandma had made him are gone! He feels terrible; but this unexpected event leads to something wonderful. Buttons innocently has found a way to spread the joy of Christmas.
