A SILK ROAD ODYSSEY

What would you risk to reclaim your freedom and your humanity after a decade in a frozen hell?In A Silk Road Odyssey, acclaimed author Carmine Vittoria brings to life the harrowing, true-to-history story of two Italian soldiers captured after the Battle of Stalingrad and sent to a brutal Soviet Gulag. From the icy wastelands of Siberia to the sun-scorched deserts of Asia, this gripping saga captures both the horrors of captivity and the unbreakable will to survive.A tribute to the thousands of Italian prisoners of war forgotten by history, A Silk Road Odyssey reminds us that freedom is never free and that memory is the only victory time cannot erase. If you are drawn to epic stories of survival, courage, and hope against impossible odds, open these pages and experience a journey you will never forget.Carmine Vittoria received his Ph.D. in applied quantum physics from Yale University in 1970.
