This is a story, my story. More so a piece of it. It’s a story of regrets, betrayal, heartache, but also finding the good amidst the chaos. I share these short stories, these flashbacks, not for sympathy, but for connection. As a reminder that we are all going through life. That even the seemingly happiest of people you run into are fighting their own battles. I write these short stories as a way of reminding you that you’re not alone. That life ebbs and life flows. That there will be good but there are bad times too. That is all becomes but a flashback in the end. I hope in reading this book you can gain a better understanding of the stages of grief, depression, and anxiety. But also of forgiveness despite pain. The world needs more kindness, compassion, and forgiveness.
