A Sense of Wonder is an extension of my previous book, but with more of an urban flavor because I am now living in South Florida. This book is intended to lift hearts and minds. It was written from December 2006 to May 2007. Its themes come from real people mostly here in South Florida. I didn’t shy away from using religious phrases in my work after all I believe in the 'Lord Jesus Christ: and go to Church every Sunday'. This book celebrates marriage, family, children, religion, pets, and the magnificent beach and Atlantic Ocean.I look at this world with awe getting buzzed on the laughter, and people’s jocularity. It’s the simple things like stories of someone’s first puppy love kiss and stories how faith changed their lives that inspired this book. The older I become the more I believe in the power of prayer and living a moral life. I have to think it’s the reason I am so jubilant even though my life has not always gone my way, but I persevere looking on the bright side with great hope for tomorrow. Finally, this book is the result of spending many hours conversing, joking, and reminiscing with hundreds of friends to all of them thanks for sharing. I sincerely hope these idiosyncratic, amusing, and poignant songs/poems will fill you with A Sense Of Wonder.Jeffrey Langer
