An innocent young girl, neglected and living in poverty in Guatemala, dreamed of one day living in America.Years passed and Esperanza’s dream materialized when she married an American man and, though unable to speak English, moved to America as a new bride. Almost immediately, her lifelong dream turned into a horrible nightmare, and she was forced to pay an unthinkable price.
