Falando em termos gerais sobre o termo Responsabilidade Social Universitária no mundo árabe, consideramos que o sector do ensino superior no mundo árabe tem a obrigação de produzir estudantes com uma mentalidade que os leve a pensar para além de si próprios, considerando-se cidadãos globais responsáveis. As universidades da região árabe têm o dever de desempenhar o seu papel, ensinando aos estudantes mais do que os manuais escolares e incutindo-lhes o sentido de responsabilidade de servir a sociedade; isto é possível de algumas formas, tendo em conta a cultura árabe. Em primeiro lugar, informando os alunos sobre os problemas actuais da sociedade árabe e, em segundo lugar, dizendo-lhes que diferença podem fazer participando em actividades sociais. Há alguns alunos que nem sequer conhecem os problemas minuciosos que as massas enfrentam na sociedade árabe e nem sequer conseguem calcular aproximadamente a diferença que podem criar com uma pequena ajuda.
