The sky was getting darker but was still painted in deep reds, oranges, and pinks as the sun set on the water below. The only sounds Lukas heard came from the tide crashing against the rocks below and his feet crunching through grass and gravel. After each of them circumvented the entire area, they met up where they had begun.Lukas led the walk back to the door. As he went to reach for the doorknob, he froze. Carefully walking inside the structure, they both had their eyes and ears peeled for any movement. They were about halfway across the floor when the door slammed shut behind them. Whipping around with weapons in hand, Jaime and Lukas found themselves staring down the barrel of a Magnum .357.
