A Pub in the Time of COVID

Cup day 2019 and ’The Trough’ is thumping. Beer flows and cash rolls in. Jake Pollard, pub manager extraordinaire, has hit the sweet spot. Record sales are followed by record bonuses.But treachery awaits. The company that owns the pub has been taken over by crooks. Their plans will destroy the pub and the livelihoods of all who work there.Sedge Hardwick and Roughy Jordan, longtime friends and pub patrons, combine with Jake’s ex-wife, Ryder Cooper, to fight for the pub, but the odds against them are massive. Julie Clappers, a beautiful and highly sexed ballroom dancing teacher appears. She desires Jake in a big way.Covid arrives and the government smashes the economy.
