We are living in an age of unprecedented confusion in the minds and aspirations of youth as the world keeps changing in terms of opportunities and social mores. There are confusing signals from employers and society on what should be our life’s purpose. In a post COVID environment, the Gen Ys and Zs, jolted out of a sense of equilibrium by different working styles and habits developed in the twenty months of disruption are beginning to ask fundamental questions about the path they have chosen in their life, whether they are getting too less (or too much) from their pursuits, work-life balance and the quest of happiness. This novel is set in current times. Sharon, an upwardly mobile executive is returning from Goa to the fast life in the city of Mumbai, while Abhay from an underprivileged family in Pune has started on a voyage of self-discovery. A chance encounter in Lonavla and subsequent experiences of each other’s worlds leads both to discover a future that they had not envisaged. The book describes their individual and collective voyage of discovery and explores the evolution in their thinking as life and careers course their paths through a changing world - across India, US, Europe and again India. An untraditional 'Boy meets Girl' story, this novel is also a commentary on challenges, opportunities and the way one can choose to live life. The universe often creates possibilities.... finding one’s path takes grit, determination and taking that leap of faith when the right opportunities present themselves.

Stuart Evans’s first novel is a comedy-of-ill-manners set in a nouveau riche milieu: a fantastic satirical performance and hyper-referential homage to masters past and present. Paul Keller is the Stephen Dedalus of the piece, the son of Robert and Sylvie, whose internal monologue is spliced into the action, and whose incestuous feelings for his sister lead to an increase in his...
