There are moments in life that divide everything into before and after, though they rarely seem important when they happen. For Jack and Sandi, that moment began on an ordinary autumn afternoon while walking familiar forest trails near home. They had no desire for adventure, no belief in ancient magic, and no reason to expect anything beyond a quiet day together. Yet somewhere beyond their understanding, ancient powers were stirring and forgotten forces had begun reaching across worlds toward them. The first warning came when the birds suddenly fell silent and the forest became unnaturally still. Without thunder, light, or warning, reality folded around them and the familiar woods vanished. When Jack opened his eyes, he and Sandi stood in a strange land of towering trees, distant mountains, glowing rivers, and skies unlike anything they had ever known. What first seemed like a dream quickly became frighteningly real. The world they had entered was ancient, shaped by fallen empires, forgotten civilizations, dragons, and powers long buried beneath the earth. Beneath its beauty, however, a spreading corruption was twisting creatures and poisoning places once considered sacred. The balance that had protected the land for generations was beginning to fail, and few still understood the cause. Jack and Sandi had not been chosen by prophecy; they were simply two ordinary people determined not to abandon one another. Their search for a way home would carry them through haunted forests, forgotten ruins, distant kingdoms, and lands filled with creatures they once believed existed only in stories. Along the way they would find allies, face terrible enemies, endure painful losses, and discover courage they never knew they possessed. What began as a desperate journey home would eventually become something far greater, affecting lives and worlds beyond their own. Like every legend, their story began not with a great victory, but with one unexpected step into the unknown.

For a long time, no one noticed the small goblin who lived in a cave overlooking the forest. He was not a hero in any song. He was not a cast-out prince or a warrior. He was simply curious in a world that prized certainty. Where his tribe prized caution, he asked questions. Where they hoarded, he shared. Where they kept to the worn paths, he wandered the edges and listened...
