Este trabalho centra-se na heterogeneidade enunciativa das formas proverbiais no país Tiébara. Expressão da literatura oral, o provérbio é um instrumento de transmissão do conhecimento, da memória e dos valores de uma comunidade. Transmitidos oralmente de geração em geração, estes provérbios encarnam a experiência colectiva e reflectem a visão do mundo do povo Tiébara. Entre os Sénoufo, e particularmente entre os Tiébara, a tradição oral desempenha um papel central na compreensão da história e da cultura. Os provérbios, vistos como a 'voz das nações', encerram uma sabedoria ancestral e exigem mestria na sua utilização, pois estão intimamente ligados à verdade. O estudo dos provérbios revela a riqueza enunciativa dessas formas discursivas e evidencia a importância da palavra falada na preservação da identidade cultural. Este trabalho evidencia, assim, o papel fundamental da literatura oral na construção da memória coletiva do povo Tiébara.
