The book of Daniel reveals that knowledge of God’s plans for the end of the age will be understood at the time of the end. Mayer believes that we are now in that time. He has found evidence for the probable dates of future events such as the rapture of the saints, the setting up of the abomination of desolation, and the second coming of Christ; he shares in his book these possible dates with Scriptural evidence. Gary gives special attention to the 144,000, who are protected during the last half of the Great Tribulation, and to the great multitude that will come out of the Great Tribulation. He shows that the seals of Revelation are distinguished from the Trumpets and bowls because the seals basically did not contain new revelation that came after Christ’s resurrection and ascension, but the trumpets and bowls reveal new details. His book ends with a call to repentance in light of what will soon be coming upon the earth.
