During his time at Tsinghua University in 1958, young student Yuncang Hao was mistakenly labeled as a rightist and subsequently sent for a 'labor investigation.' This designation was later escalated to 'current counter-revolutionary,' leading to a 20-year journey of imprisonment and labor reform on farms. It was not until 1978 that he was finally exonerated. This book is Hao’s personal autobiography, written by his own hand at the age of 87. It reflects on the eventful two decades of his life, remembering the people who walked alongside him and aims to provide future generations with some clues to understand that era.
