Over 30 years ago Margaret Grote wrote a series of poems intended for children. They remained unseen by the public until 2023, 18 years after her death, when her son and niece combined to publish the first half of the work. Critically acclaimed, I Like Mud and other poems for the young and young-at-heart has won top awards from Children’s Book International, American Writing Awards, Literary Titan, Firebird Book Awards, and Purple Dragonfly. Children and adults alike have been enthralled. Now the second half of the work is being made available with A Farmer I’ll Be and more poems for the young and young-at-heart. Although it will be hard to top Mud, we believe Farmer may very well do that.
