A fama póstuma de Hannah Arendt é natural porque ela abriu um novo capítulo na filosofia política ao lançar uma nova luz sobre a relação entre a vita ativa e a vita comtemplativa. Como 'Julgar', a terceira parte de The Life of the Mind, ficou por escrever, não foram poucas as pessoas que, até agora, tentaram expor o seu pensamento político de forma engenhosa. Aqui está mais uma tentativa teórica de o redefinir em termos de 'estética política' e como é que isso pode ser feito corretamente? A disciplina da estética pode ser caracterizada por três componentes distintas: um sentido estético, um método estético de pensamento e um regime estético e, nesta base, destaco a consciência, o pensamento crítico socrático e o ponto arquimediano arendtiano para a sua estética política. Passando a traçar uma tipologia da pluralidade humana constituída por HP-I, HP-II, HP-III, HP-IV e HP-V, chego à conclusão de que as pessoas politicamente insignificantes do HP-V podem ser convidadas para o HP-IV em nome da justiça social. Foi provavelmente isto que Hannah Arendt quis dizer quando lançou um apelo a uma nova filosofia política e o que a sua estética política nos pode proporcionar atualmente.
