Esta obra é o resultado do trabalho de investigação de muitos colegas que, pensando em si como estudante, quiseram mostrar-lhe páginas da nossa história local que não foram suficientemente conhecidas mas que não podem esperar mais nas condições de uma cidade muito jovem, heterogénea e em vias de formar a sua identidade.Moa, como muitos outros lugares do nosso país, ocupa um lugar na história nacional não só pela riqueza do seu solo, da sua flora, da sua fauna, pela beleza dos seus rios ou pelo impetuoso desenvolvimento industrial que aqui se observa. A sua história também contribui para estas riquezas, pelo esforço daqueles que a construíram através das suas lutas contra o império que, desde tempos imemoriais, roubou os recursos naturais desta zona como expressão da sua política de saque.
