All through my life and Christian journey, I’ve always been fascinated by the beauty of all that God has created and His word. Birds, one of God’s beautiful creations, are special to me. From their rhythmic sounds, appearance, colors and unique characteristics, they serve as a daily reminder to me of God’s love, care, creativity and provision.This daily devotional is a combination of two things that have become a great passion for me over the years - Scripture and birds. The Bible highlights Jesus’ reference to birds in His teachings about love, faith, trust and provision. I strongly believe that we can draw closer and have a deeper understanding of Him when we carefully look at these amazing creatures God has blessed us with.Each day in this devotional will focus on different components of the bird, attributing its characteristics to messages in the Bible. My desire for you, the reader, is that you get a deeper knowledge of birds and will be inspired to appreciate the good works of God in our daily lives. Be encouraged to look deeper, observe and focus on the only One who knew you even before you were born. So, whatever your daily routine is, make every effort to take the time to pay close attention to your environment, especially the birds, and to read the scripture and appreciate God for all He has done.As we delve deeper, we’ll begin to understand the lessons God has in store for us in the feathers and flight of our backyard neighbors.
