In a Village isolated in a mountainous location in Georgia, the story of a local community unfolds in three dimensions: contemporary, historical and mythological, mixing Christian and pagan beliefs. When a she-bear bursts into the lives of the villagers, they wonder if it has connections with a distant relative killed, a mystery protected by a monk living in a sacred oak tree. Personal stories re-emerge and intertwine, against this backdrop of magical forces, of great inspiration as a warning for the preservation of nature and its elements. Mikho Mosulishvili was born on December 10, 1962. He is a writer and playwright who graduated from Tbilisi State University’s Geography-Geology Faculty in 1986. From 1981 to 1984 he focused, as a particular second subject, on film drama. After 1986 worked as a geologist on the geologicgeophysical expedition in Georgia and then as a newspaper journalist. He translated art films from English to Georgian for various television companies for several years. He has published twenty-three novels, stories, plays, and translations. His plays have been based on over twenty performances in various Georgian theatres, television, and radio. He is co-author of the television serial Night of Small Stars (Georgian Television, Channel One, 1999).
