Manjula is the eldest daughter of a middle-class family in Kerala. Her father is in the army, and they move to a city in North India. She finds it difficult to adjust to the new place. After 3 years, they come back to their native place. Manjula’s dad decides to leave the job to be with the family. There is a financial crisis, and they have to sell their land.
