THE PURPOSE IN WRITING THIS BOOK:In my conversation with a Lutheran minister, in 1985, he said he did not believe Jesus Christ 'was the main man' and he did not believe in hell. I began a lifelong investigation into who is Jesus Christ--Fact or Myth? I have discovered 30 different approaches as to 'who is Jesus Christ'. I would like to share my findings in the following posts. Just as Jesus is eternal, omniscient and omnipresent, I suppose there are an unlimited number of views and approaches as to an understanding of who Jesus is. Approaching Jesus is like a giant ever expanding puzzle. You find a piece and must search out as to how this piece fits into the whole mosaic. Each piece interlocks and overlaps with the others. Each piece fits nicely for a while, and then more pieces appear and the search starts again. Since the Bible is God’s 'living word', these chapters, much like puzzle pieces, begin and end with words-verses- names and meanings. Only the eternal Holy Spirit can help an individual make sense and understand who Jesus is. The plan Jesus has for each of us is an ever growing trust that God will provide for us every step of life’s way. Each chapter of this book is like a new ingredient added to our understanding of who Jesus is. The Bible says, 'Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.' (PS. 34:8 NIV)
