This is a reprint edition of my first collection, 14 Stories (2006), The stories vary from straightforward narrative to stream of consciousness, one or two in the form of a modern fable, and some striving to literary fiction. One is in the form of a play. Some involve solving a puzzle/crime or problem. A few have a South African setting and a certain amount of South African slang - one story is in Afrikaans.At the end of the book are a few (six) examples of (partly experimental) verse - I don’t think it can claim to be poetry.
