سر پل ته رودخانه, قصه ی آزادیست- و آزادی اسیر تضادهاست. و تضادها قربانی میگیرد. سر پل ته رودخانه از زندگی توده ها و مشکلات آنها نه بطریقی معمول سخن می گوید.  در این نمایشنامه بعد زمان و مکان جایی ندارد, حرف و پیام متعلق به مردم و از خود آنهاست و اغراق نیست اگر بگویم شخصیتها به خوبی قبل لمس میباشند. در دهی, شهری و یا دنیائی چند آدم با رفتار گوناگون ولی خصوصیاتی یکسان از نظر فرهنگ, رغبت نزدیکی با واقعیات را ندارند, در نتیجه کشمکشها و فعل و انفعالات ارزشهای پوسیده و خرافات مذهبی, معلمی آزرده, که آزادی نام دارد قصد روشن کردن اذهان مردم را دارد, و اذهان در گیر سنن پوسیده و خرافات مذهبی میباشند. آدمهای این ده با تضادهای ظاهری دست به گریبانند و قربانی می گیرند. در این ده رودخانه ای خروشان که قطره هایی از ظلم و ستم همراه دارد جاری است و پلی فرتوت عامل ارتباط بودن و زیستن است. از دید نویسنده این پل هم خصوصیات مردم را دارا می باشد و لذا مردم ده که واقعیات را پذیرا نمی باشند توسط این پل آزادی را قربانی می کنند.  دولت آبادیwww.eeiff.com
