Das Hauptziel der vorgestellten Untersuchung ist es, die Wechselwirkung von Individualität in der Gesellschaft aufzuzeigen, die Aufmerksamkeit darauf zu lenken, dass hinter den verschiedenen 'Gesichtern der Kultur' auch eine Person mit ihren Fähigkeiten, Bedürfnissen und Zielen steht. Die historiographische Betrachtung möglicher Varianten der Suche und Aneignung von Individualität in der kulturgeschichtlichen Perspektive der Menschheit erlaubt es, universelle Gesetzmäßigkeiten der menschlichen Entwicklung in der Biogenese, Soziogenese und Persogenese zu identifizieren. Die Ergebnisse der Studie können als methodische Grundlage für verschiedene Bereiche der angewandten Menschenkunde, der empirischen Untersuchung der menschlichen Individualität und ihrer Komponenten dienen.
