Качество электроэнергии является одной из основных проблем в современную эпоху. Оно стало важным, особенно с появлением сложных устройств, работа которых очень чувствительна к качеству электропитания. Проблема качества электроэнергии - это явление, проявляющееся в виде нестандартного напряжения, тока или частоты, которое приводит к выходу из строя конечного оборудования. Одной из основных проблем здесь является просадка напряжения. Просадка напряжения является одной из проблем качества электроэнергии в распределительной системе и характеризуется величиной, продолжительностью и скачком фазового угла, на который влияют изменения параметров распределительной системы. В диссертации предложены различные топологии VSI для разработки компенсатора для смягчения просадки напряжения. В данном проекте был проведен всесторонний анализ просадки напряжения и влияние различных параметров энергосистемы на просадку напряжения. Далее для компенсации просадки напряжения используется обычный 2-уровневый инвертор, 3-уровневый и 5-уровневый каскадный инвертор на базе динамического восстановителя напряжения (DVR), и за счет увеличения числа уровней каскадного многоуровневого инвертора на базе DVR уменьшается вклад гармоник.
