Dentro de las muchas canciones que componen el soundtrack de esta novela, dan ganas de añadir una: “Once I had a love and it was a gas. Soon turned out had a heart of glass…” de Blondie. Por supuesto, el protagonista se quedaría perplejo ante la dedicatoria, porque él siempre hace las cosas bien, nunca pretende lastimar a nadie y sólo tiene amor para dar cuando se lo piden. Desde su primer beso hasta el último, simplemente es como es. La vida es la que lo coloca en el lugar y el momento indicados para gozarla. Él se deja llevar. Si le gusta, repite la canción. Si no, cambia de pista. A veces pienso en él y me pregunto si me recordará. Dicen que los caballeros no tienen memoria, ¿una bestia la tendrá? —Una mujer que tuvo la (in)fortuna de conocer a Paolo.
