Большинство форм пародонтита представляют собой пожизненное взаимодействие между геномом, поведением и окружающей средой. В настоящее время практическая польза генетических знаний при пародонтите ограничена. Информация, содержащаяся в геноме человека, потенциально может привести к лучшему пониманию механизмов контроля.
