Short stories influenced by where the author has lived or visited, with a couple of examples below:Murphy the Magnificent began 'life' almost fifty years ago as adventure stories for my children and in recent years – my grandchildren. Murphy became a hero long before the television mouse heroes emerged and always began his stories with Murphy opened the door of his tent.Mama Goose started her career as 'Mother Goose and the Skinny man'. Before we were married Anne belonged to a farming family in Co. Tyrone. As a midwife, she would go home on her days off and her two nieces Lorna and Sylvia, who lived nearby, would come to see her and hear her stories of Mother Goose and the Skinny Man. Although Anne could not remember the original stories, some years ago the characters were resurrected as Mama Goose and the Skinny Man (Mother Goose having her series of books), and with new stories and characters. 3
