Norse Tales is an epic book about the Norse Gods that the Vikings worshipped. Featuring Odin, Thor, Loki, other Gods, the Valkyries, Valhalla, serpents, wolves, dwarfs and giants. It is full of wild twists and turns, as the Gods battle their enemies and face challenges only Gods could deal with. As well as the stories, it explains how the world and universe were created, and the afterlife, according to this ancient northern European pagan religion. This Edwardian classic, was first published in 1912. Edward Thomas, wrote the book using old sources such as the Prose Edda, created by Icelandic historian, Snorri Sturluson, in the 13th Century. Five years after Norse Tales was completed, he was killed at the Battle of Arras, on the Western Front, on Easter Sunday, 1917.
